After The License - Following the Music AFTER it's Been Picked and Licensed
Composer and music editor Shie Rozow has taken a different path than most leading him to work on a range of projects from blockbusters like AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY to TV shows including KRYPTON, and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, to documentaries such as THE UNKNOWN KNOWN and JANIS: LITTLE GIRL BLUE.
A self taught amateur musician his whole life, Shie didn’t learn how to read or write music until his early twenties when he decided to pursue music professionally. He completed Berklee’s four-year program in just five semesters (“being broke is a great incentive,” he explained) and immediately came to Los Angeles where he’s been working as a composer and music editor ever since.
Shie’s work on over 100 feature films and hundreds of hours of TV programming has earned him 15 Golden Reel Nominations (winning twice), and a Golden Telly award alongside other accolades. He is currently music editing Hulu’s WU-TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA, the upcoming DC Universe series STARGIRL, and is also scoring the indie feature, MONOLOGUE.
