We asked Pat what she is motivated by, here’s what she said:
I’m motivated by a great story. Large or intimate, stories help us connect, learn, feel. They help us make sense of our world and provide insight into others. Whether it’s the answer to ‘how was your day?’ Or watching an amazing film or documentary unfold. Whether it’s daydreaming to a favorite song or closing the last chapter on an addictive book, stories focus our scattered attention and allow us to feel a part of something larger. Sad, delightful, horrendous, mind-bending, truthful, fictitious, somewhere in between – stories are forever. And the people that tell them well are a gift.
